Who writes the reviews
Reviews are researched, tested and written by the Homeprice Scan test team. Every product in a category is scored against the same written rubric by the same reviewers, so scores are comparable across the whole site. We publish the rubric on our How We Test page.
How we make money
When you buy through links on Homeprice Scan, the retailer may pay us an affiliate commission at no extra cost to you. Commissions fund the testing — they never decide a score or a ranking, and no brand can pay to appear here. Full details in our affiliate disclosure.
What we don't do
- No sponsored reviews or paid placements — ever.
- No scores invented from spec sheets; if we haven't used it, we don't score it.
- No deal listed as verified unless it was checked by hand.
